This team of leaders are an important reason the Indiana Agriculture Leadership Program serves important role in advancing agriculture in Indiana and beyond. There service makes a difference every day"Obligate to perpetuate." My colleague Jon Lantz shared this phrase when we were on a Past Chairperson's panel at the AgrIInstitute graduation session for ALP Class 20 last weekend. Along with current chair Todd Greenwood, Jon and I talked about how this amazing leadership program helped shape and connect us in the ag industry.
Jon's phrase has stuck in my head as I think about programs/organizations that have played a huge part of my professional development. To whom much is given, much is expected. I appreciated the reminder of what being in the Indiana Ag Leadership Program did to help me develop skills and become embedded in the Ag Industry. I'm glad I gave back by serving on the board for more than a decade, giving both time and treasure to help perpetuate the work of this organization. Thank you, Beth Archer, for your tireless leadership and championing continuous learning and leadership!
What are YOU obligated to help perpetuate?
Of course, the graduation ceremony brought back fond (and fun!) memories of my Class 11 Classmates -cheers to all of you, forever my village!!
