Next Steps, Tribal Maternal Health Learning Collaborative- Winter Series I

Next steps are in progress to help bridge the maternal health challenges and gaps that exist for rural and indigenous women. The University of North Dakota, in collaboration with HRSA Office of Regional Operations, SAMHSA and the North Dakota Department of Health, have organized a Maternal Health Learning Collaborative.

The Collaborative brings providers and subject matter experts together to discuss and share best practices in addressing rural and tribal communities’ maternal health challenges across the life span.

Among the topics that will be covered:

  • Pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, and postpartum health
  • Substance use disorders
  • Mental health
  • Maternal hypertension
  • Home visiting connection to care
