Experts Recommend the COVID-19 Vaccine for Pregnant and Postpartum People


People who are pregnant or postpartum are at a higher risk for serious illness, hospitalization, and poorer health outcomes for themselves and their newborn. 

The vaccine does not negatively impact your pregnancy. 
New analysis found no risk in early pregnancy and no increased risk of miscarriage.

The vaccine does not impact future fertility.
Vaccines are safe, and there is no link to infertility or other negative long-term side effects. Nurses, doctors and many others have gotten the vaccinations already.

The vaccine does not cross the placenta.
But the antibodies do. Getting vaccinated during pregnancy can help protect your baby from COVID-19.
