Even in the most typical of times, a new school year often brings stress and anxiety for parents, teachers and students alike. This year may magnify those concerns for some and impact learning for others. Crowded hallways, re-establishing routines and executive functioning, or just getting back into social circles that may have been interrupted, there is a lot for us to figure out in order to help our kids have a successful school year.
That is why my office is hosting an online panel discussion on “Back-to-School for Parents” this Thursday, September 9th, at 7 pm. |
I will be joined by local experts in education, school mental health, special education, and education law, who will share their insights and make recommendations about how parents can help to ease the transition back to school. They’ll share tips for helping kids get settled into school and talk about ways parents can help their kids adjust and thrive as the school year ebbs and flows.
The event will also include an opportunity for questions from the audience.
If you have a child or grandchild in school, I hope you’ll join us by visiting RepDanMiller.com at 7 pm this Thursday evening and clicking on the link to this virtual event. |
