Addressing Mental Health of Young Adults during COVID-19 Tuesday, January 12, 2021 5:00:00 PM UTC - 6:00:00 PM UTC
The event has ended. Thank you Please join the Region II National Preparedness Division for a webinar on supporting the mental health of young adults (ages 18-24) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Karina Aguilar, Assistant Regional Administrator of the Region II Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and a guest speaker from ComuniLife will discuss the impacts of COVID-19 and quarantine on the mental health of young adults. Due to changes in plans and missed significant life events, youth are facing isolation, anxiety and depression. Learn symptoms, warning signs and how to help young adults manage these challenging times. Who should attend? Parents, caregivers, teachers, professors, school and university administrators and community organizations that serve young adults. FEMA works to ensure equitable access for all to any services and programs that are provided by the agency. If you need a reasonable accommodation, please make your request in an email to fema-r2-prepares@fema.dhs.gov. Last minute requests will be accepted, but may not be possible to fulfill.
