Member Survey: Barriers to Business Growth

The NC Chamber is partnering with the CREATE Center at the Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise at UNC Chapel Hill on a survey that will help us understand growth opportunities and constraints encountered by small to medium sized firms in North Carolina. We want to identify local attitudes, regulations and infrastructure that affect firm growth potential and how successful communities in our state support entrepreneurs with strong growth prospects.

Prosperity is a goal we would like to achieve, yet it is not well defined or regularly measured. Across North Carolina, there are places, often unrecognized, where firms and communities are thriving. These places offer opportunities for investment and models for economic development, but better understanding of growth opportunities and best practices requires accurate information.

As a business leader in your community, you can help with this important data gathering effort in two ways:

1) Complete this survey and 2) forward it to leaders of small and medium sized businesses in your community and throughout North Carolina.

This survey data will help both the NC Chamber and the CREATE Center identify policy opportunities and next steps to expand economic prosperity for all North Carolinians. All responses are confidential and will only be presented in aggregate. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts – click here to take the survey.
