Bipartisan, bicameral Legislative Panel now available to view
|
This past Thursday, I was pleased to welcome a bipartisan group of state legislators to the Disability & Mental Health Summit Legislative Panel. A dozen of my colleagues came together at St. Clair Hospital to hear moving testimony about two critical challenges facing the disability and mental health community. The first hour focused on the Direct Service Professional workforce crisis, and the second highlighted difficulties in accessing mental health care. In addition to exploring the problems, we talked about positive steps that the Legislature could take to help to address the issues.
You can watch a recording of last week’s Legislative Panel here.
Look for Day 2 of Informational Sessions to come in May, and if you have questions or would like more information about the Disability & Mental Health Summit, please visit disabilitysummit.com or contact my office at [email protected] or 412-343-3870.
