Fire Bans

Current status as of March 28, 2024

East Rocky View County:
No Ban/Advisory

West Rocky View County:
No Ban/Advisory

Fire bans and advisories restrict burning for the safety of residents and the community and are impacted by weather conditions and moisture levels, which can vary significantly throughout Rocky View County’s large geographic area.

A change in fire status is issued regionally: East, West, or combined East and West, with Highway 2 acting as the divider (view map).

Depending on weather and environmental conditions, the County may issue a Fire Advisory or a stricter Fire Ban. See below for descriptions of each.
