IN Educator Supply & Demand Marketplace

BUILDING LOCAL CAPACITY THROUGH A NEW STATEWIDE TALENT ACQUISITION PLATFORM

Overview

The Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) has partnered with Nimble to develop a statewide educator job board and supply and demand talent marketplace, helping our schools match with outstanding talent across the state of Indiana. This work supports one of IDOE’s top priority pillars, which is elevating and supporting Indiana educators by improving guidance, support, and accessible data for those recruiting, educating, and mentoring rising educators. The initiative allows:

  • schools to engage in strategic recruitment to find the best candidates for their roles;
  • prospective teachers to access local career connections; and
  • stakeholders to better understand and respond to the dynamics of the state’s educator pipeline.

Getting started

For candidates:

  • Current and future job seekers in K-12 and early childhood can leverage the Statewide Educator Job Board to find open positions across the state and fill out talent profiles so that employers meeting their job search criteria can proactively reach out to them.
  • Candidates can find more information here on how to get started with their talent profiles and can reach out to support@hirenimble.com for technical assistance.

For school systems:

  • Public school districts, charter school networks, and accredited non-public schools across the state all have access to post jobs on the Statewide Educator Job Board and should already have received posting access.
  • Organizations also have the option to opt in to leverage Nimble's applicant tracking system free of charge to support their recruitment and hiring processes, helping them attract more applicants and hire the strongest fit candidates faster.
  • Those opting into the applicant tracking system also gain access to the talent marketplace, allowing them to connect with thousands of educators across the state who may be a fit with their open positions.
  • For more information on opting in, contact Rebecca Estes, Senior Director of Educator Talent, Indiana Department of Education.

For educator preparation programs:

  • This spring, IDOE worked with all 55 of the state’s educator preparation programs to engage future educators in creating talent profiles.
